Leaving the motel at 8:30am, this was to be one of the longer legs of the trip. I stopped in Bulls for an early lunch at a local bakery then headed on to Wellington, arriving at about 2pm. A bit of a wait later and I was on the Interislander on the way to the South Island proper. With a quick dinner on the ferry, I arrived in Picton at around 8:30pm.
